The Civic Holiday long weekend is just around the corner, and while Monday, August 4th, isn’t a statutory holiday in Ontario, it’s still widely observed.
That means some businesses and services will adjust their hours or shut down for the day.
- All municipal buildings, offices, Canada Post as well as banks in both St. Thomas and Elgin County will be closed on Monday, August 4th.
- Both the LCBO and Beer Store in St. Thomas will also be closed.
- Most grocery and drug stores in the area will be open; however, their hours may be slightly different than normal.
- As always, Briwood Farm Market will operate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
While most places will be open, it’s still a good idea to call ahead to anywhere you’re thinking of going to ensure they are.
Please note that our News Department is off on Monday. Coverage will, however, be provided in the event of breaking news that impacts the community. 94.1 myFM will be returning to regular coverage and programming on Tuesday.
