The myFM and Elgin Roofing All Hands on Deck Food Drive is back Thursday, August 14th, and momentum is building across St. Thomas and Elgin County.
Now in its seventh year, the one-day event has become a powerful demonstration of community support, rallying residents, businesses, and local leaders to help stock the shelves of area food banks just in time for back-to-school.
Along with our generous sponsors, the myFM team will be on site collecting donations for the St. Thomas Elgin Food Bank, the Corner Cupboard in Aylmer and the Port Stanley & Area Community Food Bank.
Karen McDade, Manager of Public Relations and Administration at the St. Thomas Elgin Food Bank has been on-site each of the past 6 years and breaks down why the community should come out next Thursday.
Adding that it’s always so touching to see how the youngest members of our community take such pride in giving back.
The 7th annual myFM and Elgin Roofing All Hands on Deck Food Drive will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Real Canadian Superstore in St. Thomas, Miller’s Your Independent Grocer in Aylmer and Foodland in Port Stanley.
In years past, we were able to make the single largest one time donation to our area food banks and we can do that again with your help!
Whether it’s a single can or a cart full of groceries, every donation counts. You are reminded that our team will have shopping lists available at each location, outlining the greatest needs in each community.
We hope to see you all out on Thursday, August 14th!
