Elgin County Library has rolled out a brand-new online catalogue designed to make finding and borrowing materials easier, faster, and more mobile-friendly for users.
The updated platform offers a range of new features, including smarter search functions with automated suggestions, combined displays of physical and digital collections, and the ability to bookmark items or search terms for later. Readers can also enjoy personalized recommendations through curated showcases from library staff.
All formats of an item—such as books, large print editions, graphic novels, eBooks, and audiobooks—are now grouped together in search results, making it easier to find the perfect format.
Library customers can continue to manage their accounts, place and track holds, view reading history, and access resources as before.
The new catalogue can be accessed via the library’s website and the MyLibrary! app.
