The South Central Ontario Region Economic Development Corporation (SCOR EDC) proudly represented its five partner counties at the 2025 Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Conference in Ottawa.
Over the course of the event, SCOR EDC held meetings with seven provincial ministries and party representatives to advocate for regional economic development, infrastructure, and workforce priorities.
“Our discussions were positive and productive,” said Ed Ketchabaw, Chair of SCOR EDC. “We’ve come away with a number of actionable items that will help advance economic development, infrastructure, and workforce opportunities across the region.”
Delegations were held with ministries including Rural Affairs, Agriculture, Transportation, Economic Development, and Colleges and Universities, along with the Liberal and Green parties.
Board member Bernia Martin noted SCOR’s reputation as “an action-oriented and collaborative partner” known for amplifying local stakeholder voices.
SCOR EDC represents Brant, Norfolk, Elgin, Middlesex, and Oxford counties, working to drive diversification, workforce growth, and long-term prosperity across a region of more than one million residents.
