An impaired driving investigation in St. Thomas led to charges against a 37-year-old resident after a concerned citizen called police Wednesday evening.
Officers were contacted about a vehicle that was swerving across the centre line and onto the gravel shoulder. With a license plate and description provided, police tracked the vehicle to a west-end address.
Through investigation, officers suspected the driver was impaired by alcohol and issued a roadside screening demand. The individual refused, resulting in a charge of Fail to Comply with Demand – Refusal.
The driver’s vehicle was towed, and their licence was suspended.
