Today: Baby Storytime is being hosted at St. Thomas Public Library Friday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. This storytime is designed for babies and their caregivers to explore early literacy through gentle stories, songs, and rhymes. Start your reading journey together in a cozy, welcoming environment. *Please note: this program is exclusively for babies who cannot walk yet.
Today: Take a midday break and join the St. Thomas Public Library for Grown-Up Storytime from 2 to 3 p.m., where they read aloud a short story. No participation required, just sit back, listen, and enjoy the story.
Today: The Joe Thornton Community Centre will host the annual AccessAbility Open House on Friday, September 26th. The free event runs from 3 to 7 p.m. and includes exhibits, vendors, door prizes, and live demonstrations. Tomorrow: The Horton Farmers’ Market is open Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon! You can now stop by every Saturday through November 1st to shop the fresh and local foods as well as endless creations from the talented artisans.
Tomorrow: The Old Imperial Farmers’ Market is open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Aylmer! It’s a family-friendly, year-round, indoor Farmers’ Market that celebrates, supports, and showcases the best of what our community has to offer.
Tomorrow: The St. Thomas Public Library is hosting Rocks for Reconciliation from 10 a.m. to noon. In honour of Orange Shirt Day, join the library for a reflective rock painting activity. Families and children are invited to paint rocks with messages of remembrance and hope. Painted rocks will be placed at City Hall following the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Ceremony as a gesture of reflection and solidarity.
Tomorrow: The Elgin County Studio Tour returns September 27th and 28th! The Elgin County Studio Tour is a FREE self-directed tour of artists’ studios, providing a unique opportunity to meet the artists in their workspaces. Tomorrow: Once Upon a Craft takes place at the St. Thomas Public Library on Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m. This is a quiet and creative storytime with lots of conversation for kids and their caregivers. You’ll read a book, have a discussion before, during and after the reading and then do a craft together.
Sunday: The Railway City Road Races return to St. Thomas on Sunday, kicking off at 8 a.m. All proceeds from this event will help change futures for at-risk kids in our community through Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Thomas-Elgin.
Sunday: A fundraiser in support of Railway City Angel Gowns goes on Sunday at the CASO Station from 3 to 6 p.m. A fun afternoon with live music, 50/50 draw, and silent auction. All funds raised are used to create bereavement gowns for families who have lost an infant and to support families. More details here.
