The St. Thomas Panthers Girls Hockey Association is inviting fans, families, and players to celebrate Panther Day 2025 this Saturday, October 4, at the Joe Thornton Community Centre.
The day-long event runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., promising a full schedule of home games, activities, and plenty of Panther pride.
Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy face painting, temporary tattoos, music, and games while cheering on the local teams.
Source for Sports will be on-site with official Panther apparel, and the arena will be decked out in blue, red, and yellow.
The celebration will close with the “Blades of Appreciation” skate, an evening event open to all current Panther players and coaches.
A highlight of the day will be the unveiling of a banner around 7:30 p.m., honouring Brittany Howard for her achievements as a professional female hockey player. Howard will be joined by members of the Western Mustangs Women’s Hockey team, making the event a celebration of female hockey in the region.
In addition to the festivities, Panther Day is also part of IIHF’s World Girls Ice Hockey Weekend, with a female hygiene product drive running throughout the day.
Fans are encouraged to come out, show their Panther pride, and help kick off the 2025/26 hockey season in style.
