A former employee of the Thames Valley District School Board has been charged with mail theft following a London police investigation. Police say between July 22nd and August 9, 2024, a board employee noticed multiple similar-looking Canada Post envelopes addressed to different staff members.
The employee reported the discovery to their supervisor, who allegedly instructed them to open one of the envelopes containing anonymous allegations against board officials, including the supervisor herself.
Investigators allege the supervisor then ordered the letter destroyed. Following an internal probe, police charged Linda M. Nicholls, 57, of St. Thomas, with one count of mail theft.
She is set to appear in London court on November 26th.
