A St. Thomas woman has been charged following a single vehicle collision early Thursday morning.
Police responded to Maple Street just after 5 a.m. where a vehicle had struck a car parked in a laneway.
The 35-year-old female driver had fled the scene, but was located a short distance away.
She had sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital. While being assessed it was suspected she was impaired and she failed a field sobriety test and subsequent drug testing.
She was charged with operation while impaired by drugs and failing to remain.
