It’s an exciting day for the kids of St. Thomas and Elgin County, with trick-or-treating being top of mind.
As the community prepares for tonight’s Halloween festivities, you are reminded of all who will be participating.
While not every unit will have candy, tenants of local apartment buildings will often gather in the lobby to hand out treats of their own.
If you live near a retirement or long-term care home, residents and staff tend to take part as well. Not only will the kids get some extra candy, but the residents benefit from a friendly visit.
Local Fire Departments, EMS, and Police Services may also be handing out treats, should they not be called out to an emergency.
And of course, local businesses and shopping centres love to get in the Halloween spirit. Stop by any participating stores, including the Elgin Centre’s Malloween event.
