A 35-year-old St. Thomas woman is in custody following a string of incidents over the weekend.
Police were first called to a residence on Saturday, November 8th, after reports of a stolen vehicle. The suspect was identified and charged with several offences, including failing to comply with an undertaking, being unlawfully in a dwelling, possession of stolen property under $5,000, and breaching probation.
Later that evening, officers located the woman in the stolen vehicle in a public parking lot. Police say she was found to be impaired and in possession of a controlled substance. Additional charges were laid, including possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, operation while impaired by drugs, and possession of a Schedule II substance.
She was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date.
However, police were called back to the same address the following day after the woman allegedly returned to the residence, violating existing conditions. Officers located her inside and took her into custody once again.
During processing, police say she was found with property belonging to the resident and was charged with further offences, including breach of probation, failure to comply with an undertaking, unlawfully in a dwelling, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
The accused was held for a court appearance and has since been remanded into custody.
