Starting Monday, St. Thomas residents can enjoy a festive treat while giving back to the community.
Tim Hortons is rolling out its annual Holiday Smile Cookie campaign, and this year, a portion of every cookie sold at local restaurants will once again support the St. Thomas Elgin Food Bank.
Karen McDade, Manager of Public Relations and Administration at the food bank, says they’re thrilled to once again be selected alongside Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.
For those who haven’t had the chance to indulge during the first two years of the campaign, McDade says you’re in for a treat!
All seven Tim Hortons locations in St. Thomas are participating in the Holiday Smile Cookie campaign, running from November 17th to 23rd.
Last year, the campaign raised more than $20,000 locally for the food bank — a total they’re hoping to surpass this year. McDade says the support couldn’t come at a more important time, as rising food prices continue to drive up demand.
As the community heads into the busy holiday season, McDade is encouraging residents to enjoy a cookie — and support local families in the process.
Holiday Smile Cookies cost $2 each, with 100% of proceeds (before tax) supporting local charities, community groups, and Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.
Those in the Aylmer area can stop by one of their 2 locations, with proceeds supporting the Corner Cupboard Food Bank. The new Tim Hortons in Belmont will also support the Corner Cupboard. The Tim’s in West Lorne will be raising funds for the West Elgin Daffodil Auxiliary, with Dutton giving back to Million Dollar Smiles.
