A St. Thomas teen, suffered critical life-threatening injuries on Friday in a two-vehicle crash east of the city.
Hadley Denison, a Grade 12 Parkside Collegiate student suffered a fractured skull and brain swelling combined with other injuries when a car she was in collided with a grain truck at the intersection of Quaker Road and Southdale Line.
She is currently at London Children’s Hospital.
It was her wish to become an organ donor and doctors are now searching for recipients for Hadley’s organs, and on Monday afternoon she was declared ‘brain-dead.’
A gofundme campaign has been established at Hope for Hadley to help her family cover care-related needs. You can find it at https://www.gofundme.com/f/p55aj-hope-for-hadley
On that page she is referred to as, “a fierce and loving daughter. She is a bright student and a caring sister.”
