The St. Thomas Police Association is once again calling on the community to help ensure local families have a brighter holiday season.
Their Stuff the Cruiser event returns this Friday and Saturday, collecting donations in support of Christmas Care — a long-standing local program that provides holiday hampers to families in need.
That was St. Thomas Police Association President Paul Tunks, who shared that officers and association members will once again be set up at both Real Canadian Superstore and Walmart on Friday, November 21st from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, November 22nd from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
And as Tunks notes, some special guests will be joining them for day two.
Christmas Care will once again distribute all items collected — from unwrapped toys and winter clothing to pantry staples — directly to registered families across the community.
Tunks says the event is always filled with holiday spirit, with officers dressed in festive gear, Christmas music playing, and candy canes for the kids. He adds that the support shown each year is a great reminder of just how incredible the local community is.
Residents can drop off new and unwrapped donations at either location throughout the two-day event.
