A St. Thomas resident is out nearly $10,000 after discovering unauthorized transfers from their line of credit.
Police say the victim came to headquarters on Tuesday after noticing two transfers made to separate credit cards.
When they contacted their financial institution, they learned someone had called the bank claiming to be locked out of the account.
The caller was able to provide the correct security answers and gained access to the funds.
A recording of that call has been turned over to St. Thomas Police as the investigation continues.
