A drug investigation in Central Elgin has resulted in charges after the OPP executed a search warrant at a business in Port Stanley late last week.
Police say members of the Elgin-Middlesex Community Street Crime Unit carried out the warrant around 12:40 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, with assistance from the Oxford-Brant Street Crime Unit, the OPP Emergency Response Team, the West Region Provincial Liaison Team, and local Elgin OPP officers.
As a result of the investigation, a 50-year-old of Stoney Point has been charged under the Cannabis Act with possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling.
The individual has been released from custody and is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Monday, January 5, 2026, at the St. Thomas courthouse.
