Thursday night, the St. Thomas Stars overpowered the Hamilton Kilty B’s 5-2.
Tonight (Friday) at 7:30 p.m., they face off against the Komoka Kings at the Joe Thornton Community Centre. This game is part of the Stars Christmas Care event.
If fans bring in a toy or donation, they will be rewarded with 50 per cent off their ticket price at the door.
The donations and the discount aren’t the only exciting things about this game. The Teddy Bear Toss is back. Fans are asked to bring a stuffed animal, like a teddy bear, wrap it in a plastic bag, and throw it onto the ice when the Stars score their first goal.
These stuffed animals will all be donated to Christmas Care.
The last time these teams faced each other, the Stars prevailed 5-1.
Both teams are in the Western Conference in the GOHL.
Komoka is in 11th place, their record currently stands at 6-14-2-0, while the Stars now hold down the the 6th place slot with a record of 14-8-0-1.
Stars:
- Myles Dunn (#23), keeping his place as the top point getter on the team, 32 total points, 14 goals.
- Wyatt Cameron (#91), the teams second top point getter with 29, 12 being goals.
- Eloan Le Gallic (#10), third most points on the stars, having 28 point, including 6 goals.
Kings:
- Parker Graham (#16) top point getter on the team, 24 total points, 8 goals.
- Owen Miniotas (#13) second most points on the Kings with 18 points, 7 being goals.
- Jacob Vandeven (#9) third top point getter with 15, including 5 goals.
