As the holiday season approaches, Port Stanley Festival Theatre is encouraging the community to give a present that lasts longer than the wrapping paper — the gift of live theatre.
With Early Bird Subscriptions on sale until January 15th, Artistic Director Liz Gilroy says this is the best time to lock in savings and secure seats for a jam-packed summer season.
Gilroy notes that subscribers who purchase before the deadline can save more than $50 on a five- or six-show package, with the bonus of being entered to win two season subscriptions.
Adding that gift certificates are also available at PSFT, making theatre an easy and meaningful holiday present for friends and family.
The 2026 season is set to open May 27 with Inner Elder, a heartfelt and humorous one-woman show by award-winning Cree artist Michelle Thrush. Music lovers can look forward to Get Down Tonight, a high-energy celebration of iconic 1970s hits, while fans of Canadian comedy will recognize Norm Foster’s The Long Weekend.
The summer continues with Sugar Road by Kristen Da Silva, a romantic comedy set in a fading amusement park, followed by Deadly Memories, a comedy-thriller world premiere by Steven Gallagher. The season wraps up with another world premiere — Norm Foster’s Ship to Shore, a two-hander comedy set aboard a cruise ship.
Alongside the mainstage productions, popular programming like Musical Mondays on the harbour-view patio, Talk Back Tuesdays, the Simon Joynes Playwrights’ Festival, and ASL-interpreted performances will also return.
Early Bird Subscriptions and gift certificates are available now at PSFT.ca, by phone, or in person at the box office @ 519-782-4353. The Early Bird deadline is January 15th, 2026.
