A 30-year-old St. Thomas woman is facing an assault charge following an incident at the Elgin County Courthouse.
St. Thomas Police say officers were escorting the woman on Tuesday afternoon following a court appearance, when she allegedly became combative.
Police say an officer sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident.
The woman was charged with assaulting a peace officer. She appeared in court on Wednesday, where she was processed on the charge and remanded back into custody.
