St. Thomas Police have laid multiple charges following an intimate partner violence incident at a north-end residence.
Police say officers were called to the home for a reported domestic dispute.
Upon arrival, a 48-year-old St. Thomas resident told officers their partner, a 33-year-old St. Thomas resident, had left the residence on foot prior to police arrival. After conducting a search, officers located the individual still inside the home, hiding in the attic.
Police say the 33-year-old was arrested and charged with two counts of spousal assault, two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking, and failing to comply with probation. The individual was transported to police headquarters for processing and held for a court appearance.
The 48-year-old was also arrested for obstructing police and later released unconditionally once the other party was taken into custody.
