Food lovers, get ready for a culinary adventure!
For the month of February, St. Thomas and Elgin County are inviting residents and visitors to explore international flavours right in their own backyard through the 6th Annual Global Flavours: An International Taste Experience.
Hosted by the St. Thomas-Elgin Local Immigration Partnership in collaboration with Railway City Tourism and Elgin County Tourism, the initiative highlights the diverse culinary offerings across St. Thomas-Elgin.
Megan Pickersgill, Tourism Manager at Railway City Tourism, says those who participate are encouraged to mark each stop off on their “Passports” or download the Goosechase to play online.
At the end of the month, participants with at least 2+ stamps on their passport will be eligible for the prize draw.
Pickersgill explains that the event aims to get people through restaurant doors during a quieter time of year while giving them a chance to discover new local spots.
This year’s lineup includes a mix of long-standing favourites and new culinary hotspots:
- Curry House
- The Fritter Shop
- Gordita Shop
- Huckleberry Cakes & Coffee
