The St. Thomas Curling Club is inviting the community to sweep into the sport with a free Open House Day this weekend.
The event takes place Saturday, February 21st and offers residents a chance to try curling at no cost. The day begins at 10 a.m. with a free “Try Curling” session, giving newcomers the opportunity to get on the ice and learn the basics in a fun, welcoming environment. Participants are asked to bring clean running shoes and wear warm, flexible clothing.
At 11 a.m., the club will host a drop-in game, followed by a screening of the Olympic Men’s Curling Gold Medal Game at 1 p.m. Non-members are welcome throughout the day, and walk-ins are encouraged.
Whether you’re brand new to curling or a longtime fan of the sport, organizers say the open house is the perfect opportunity to get involved and experience everything the club has to offer.
