A 30-year-old St. Thomas man is facing a dozen new charges after St. Thomas Police responded to 21 separate incidents involving him in just 10 days.
The man had been released from court on February 10 after pleading guilty to theft and mischief offences from December 2025. He received a suspended sentence, time served, and two years’ probation with court-imposed conditions.
Since his release, police say the individual has been involved in repeated incidents, resulting in 12 new charges, including assaulting officers, uttering threats, fraud, and theft. Officers were called for property-related offences, breaches of probation, disturbances, and community safety concerns.
In the most recent incident, officers responding to a downtown unwanted-person call say the man resisted arrest and damaged police property while in custody.
He was later transported to court and released on an undertaking with a future court date.
The St. Thomas Police Service notes that repeat interactions often involve complex social and health factors and says it will continue working with community and mental health partners alongside enforcement efforts.
