The St. Thomas Stars are set to host their final home game of the regular season tonight (Mar.4), and to say there is some added pressure is an understatement.
Not only are the Stars still vying for that final spot in the GOHL Western Conference playoffs, but a major celebration is also set to take place in tandem with the game.
The City of St. Thomas is hosting its 145th birthday on Wednesday, March 4th, at the Joe Thornton Community Centre, starting with a free public skate from 5:45 to 6:35 p.m., followed by family-friendly activities, music, and complimentary food while supplies last.
Then the celebration kicks into high gear at 7:30 when the Stars take on the St. Marys Lincolns, with the first 200 fans receiving free admission.
And with just three total games left in the regular season, the Stars will need to win at least two of those to secure their own fate.
Come and cheer them on as they make this final playoff push!
