The St. Thomas and District Chamber of Commerce is inviting the community to celebrate women in business this month.
The upcoming Business After Five networking event will take on a special format with ElevateHER, a vendor showcase highlighting women-led and women-owned businesses across St. Thomas and Elgin County.
For those who have not attended one of these in the past, Event and Experience Manager Lindsay Massecar breaks down what takes place.
For this special edition, the Chamber is opening Business After Five to the entire community. ElevateHER will feature roughly 50 vendors, all representing women-led businesses and organizations from across the region.
Massecar says the event will offer a mix of opportunities for visitors to explore what these entrepreneurs have to offer.
The showcase also ties into celebrations surrounding International Women’s Day, shining a spotlight on the contributions women make to the local business community. Massecar says the goal is to recognize and highlight the many women making an impact locally.
ElevateHER takes place on Wednesday, March 18th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the St. Anne’s Centre in St. Thomas.
