A poor decision by a St. Thomas woman jeopardized the safety of youngster.
Monday afternoon, police responded to William Street where a vehicle was stopped on the road.
The 33-year-old woman was showing signs of impairment and breath samples taken at the police station indicated she was nearly four times over the legal limit.
A child in the vehicle was released into the care of a family member.
The woman was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – 80 plus.
She was later released on an undertaking with a future court date.
