Southwold residents can expect lower than normal water pressure beginning tonight (Thursday) and throughout the day Friday.
Additionally, the water system will experience intermittent pressure fluctuations.
The shutdown will begin at 11:30 p.m. Thursday and continue until 11:45 p.m. Friday.
With planned watermain construction, Southwold’s drinking water system will be isolated from the source supply at that time.
To compensate, the township will provide municipal water from tanker trucks along with a supply from the Dutton-Dunwich system.
No water restriction will be issued, however the township is asking customers to minimize their water usage during this time.
