Residents in Springfield will need to plan ahead for a brief pause in local library services next week.
The Springfield branch of the Elgin County Library will be closed from April 6 to 10 for scheduled maintenance, with regular hours returning Saturday, April 11.
While the doors will be closed, library staff say efforts are being made to minimize disruption.
Due dates for borrowed items will be automatically extended, and pickup windows for holds will also be pushed back.
The book drop will remain open for returns, though patrons are encouraged to hold onto larger items until the branch reopens.
Library officials are thanking the community for their patience and understanding as the work is completed.
