A traffic stop in Aylmer has resulted in charges for a driver and the arrest of a wanted passenger.
The Aylmer Police Service says officers stopped a vehicle on Talbot Street West around 10:23 p.m. on March 26 after determining the permit had expired and insurance could not be confirmed.
Following an investigation, police confirmed the vehicle was not insured, and the permit was not currently validated. A 33-year-old Aylmer man has been charged with operating a motor vehicle without insurance and driving with no validated permit.
Police also determined the 32-year-old female passenger was wanted by the St. Thomas Police Service. She was arrested without incident and transported to St. Thomas.
