Southwestern Public Health is asking for the public’s help to identify a dog involved in a bite incident in St. Thomas on April 2nd.
The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. on Balaclava Street when a large dark brown, short-haired mixed breed dog wearing a black collar bit an individual on the arm.
The dog was being walked by a young woman with brown hair, believed to be in her 20s.
Public Health is looking to confirm the dog’s vaccination status to guide the victim’s care, including potential rabies treatment.
Anyone with information or the dog’s owner is asked to contact Southwestern Public Health at 1-800-922-0096 and speak with a Public Health Inspector.
