Four residents of St. Thomas and West Elgin were arrested on April 8, following a robbery earlier this year in West Lorne.
On the evening of Feb. 28, Elgin OPP responded to a targeted robbery at an address on Graham Street, where two men sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Money, jewelry, and electronics were stolen.
On April 8, the Elgin OPP Major Crime Unit and front-line members with the assistance from West and Central Region Tactics and Rescue Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team, West Region Canine Unit and the following Community Street Crime Units: Elgin, Middlesex, Essex, Norfolk, Oxford, Lambton and Brant executed four search warrants in Elgin.
Several firearms, two conducted weapons, hydromorphone pills and cocaine were seized by police.
The Elgin OPP Major Crime Unit is continuing with the investigation.
A 42-year-old of St. Thomas is charged with:
· Robbery using firearm
· Unauthorized possession of a firearm
· Disguise with intent
· Assault causing bodily harm
· Assault with a weapon
· Unlawfully in dwelling house
· Possession of a Schedule I substance – Cocaine
· Possession of a Schedule 1 substance – Opioid
A 34-year-old of West Elgin is charged with:
· Possession of a firearm knowing serial number has been tampered with
· Assault with a weapon
· Assault causing bodily harm
· Robbery with weapon
· Unlawfully in dwelling house
· Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
· Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
· Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
· Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo
A 28-year-old of West Elgin is charged with:
· Robbery with weapon
· Disguise with intent
· Assault with a weapon
· Assault causing bodily harm
· Unlawfully in dwelling house
· Disobeying order of court
· Fail to comply with probation
A 34-year-old of West Elgin is charged with:
· Robbery with intent
· Unlawfully in dwelling house
