Reaction to Prime Minister Mark Carney’s announced 10-cent-per-litre cut to gas taxes has been mixed across the region.
Some say it will help over the summer, while others think it has missed the mark.
Others point to a national issue when it comes to keeping gas prices in check.
People realize that the Iran war plays a part, but the timing is in question due to an annual unwelcome tradition.
The announced cut means that gas will drop by around 10 cents per litre, while diesel will go down by four cents.
The reduction will also help with the cost of aviation fuel, possibly reducing airfares, at least temporarily.
