As communities across the country mark National Volunteer Week, myFM is once again shining a spotlight on the people who give their time to make a difference right here at home.
Earlier this year, we hosted a special Volunteer Appreciation Day, highlighting the stories of residents who continue to give back without expecting anything in return.
From lending a helping hand to leading community initiatives, their stories showcase the impact volunteers have across St. Thomas and Elgin County.
You can hear from featured volunteers, including Kara Lynds, Sarah Coleman, Tina Swaenepoel, Jim Wakefield, and Jeff Yurek, sharing what inspires them to step up and how giving back often brings even more in return.
Volunteer Appreciation Week, running from April 19th to 25th, recognizes the vital role volunteers play in building stronger, more connected communities.
