For the first time, a special event connected to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame is coming to London.
The Opening Pitch, which kicks off Induction Weekend, will be held at Toboggan Brewing Company on Thursday, June 18th from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. The event is usually held in Toronto, but organizers say they are excited to bring it to London this year.
The evening gives fans a chance to meet and talk with members of the 2026 Hall of Fame class, along with other special guests. It is one of several events planned for Induction Weekend, which also includes a golf tournament, a banquet, and the induction ceremony in St. Marys.
Organizers say London is a great fit for the event because of its strong baseball history, including being home to the world’s oldest baseball grounds.
Guests expected to attend include 2026 inductees Devon White, Stubby Clapp, Bill Stoneman, Kate Psota, Paul Runge, and the family of Jim Bab. Other well-known names, including Fergie Jenkins, Ashley Stephenson, and Jeff Francis, are also expected.
Tickets for the Opening Pitch are now on sale for $100 and include food and drinks.
More details about the event and other Induction Weekend activities can be found on the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame website.
