Fire crews responded to an alarm at Aldborough Public School earlier today.
According to the West Elgin Fire Department, firefighters were called to the school for a monitored alarm, prompting an evacuation of the building as a precaution.
Crews located and removed a small battery believed to be the source of the issue, then carried out ventilation to ensure the school was safe for re-entry.
No injuries were reported, and firefighters have since cleared the scene.
