The next generation of young entrepreneurs will be in the spotlight this week in St. Thomas.
The St. Thomas & District Chamber of Commerce is hosting its Youth Market on May 5th at the CASO Station, giving local youth the chance to showcase their small businesses and creative talents.
Running from 5 to 7 p.m., the free, family-friendly event will feature a variety of vendors aged 17 and under, offering everything from baked goods and handmade crafts to artwork and jewellery.
Among those taking part is myFM Co-op Reporter, Parker Walpole, who says the market is a great opportunity for youth to share both their businesses and their passions with the community. This will be the third year in a row that Walpole is taking part in the market, and he is looking forward to sharing his rebranded business with those in attendance.
The event not only gives young entrepreneurs a platform to sell their products, as Walpole shares, but also a chance to gain real-world experience and connect with customers.
The Youth Market aims to support and encourage the next generation while giving the community a chance to shop local and discover impressive young talent.
