With the May long weekend on the horizon, the Kinsmen Club of St. Thomas is back with its largest fundraiser of the year.
Their 48-foot-long fireworks trailer has returned to the Geerlinks Home Hardware parking lot, with sales underway through May 18th.
The purchase of these fireworks help funds stay in the community and assists with local events such as Canada Day fireworks and the annual Kinsmen Easter Egg Hunt.
Residents who choose to purchase fireworks are reminded to follow all by-law rules and guidelines outlined and enforced by the St. Thomas Fire Department and the City of St. Thomas, which states fireworks can only be set off on the day before, the day of, and the day after both Victoria Day and Canada Day.
The St. Thomas Kinsmen Fireworks trailer, located in the Geerlinks Home Hardware parking lot, 295 Wellington St., will be open on Thursday, 2 to 9 p.m., Friday, noon to 9 p.m., Saturday/Sunday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Monday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Fireworks can also be ordered online through the Kinsmen website, with next-day pickup available.
