Crews with the City of St. Thomas are continuing cleanup efforts after a severe weather system moved through the region Tuesday, causing widespread damage and disruption.
City officials say crews and contractors have been working through the night and will remain out in the coming days responding to storm-related impacts, including downed trees, damaged traffic signals and signage, debris on roadways, and other effects to municipal infrastructure.
Residents may also notice ongoing repairs to construction barriers, streetlights, and traffic control devices as cleanup work continues across multiple areas of the city.
The city is asking the public to use extra caution while travelling, avoid damaged or hazardous areas when possible, and report urgent municipal concerns through the City’s Customer Service Department.
Officials are thanking residents for their patience, along with emergency responders, municipal crews, and contractors working to restore safe conditions across the community.
