A 46-year-old St. Thomas woman is facing multiple charges following a reported intimate partner violence incident on the city’s south side Sunday evening.
According to the St. Thomas Police Service, officers were called to a residence shortly after 8:30 p.m. for reports of an argument between spouses.
During the investigation, police learned the woman was allegedly breaching existing release conditions stemming from a previous incident in December that prohibited communication with her spouse. Officers also determined the accused had allegedly assaulted their partner prior to police arriving on scene.
The woman has been charged with two counts of assault and one count of failure to comply with an undertaking.
She was transported to police headquarters, processed, and held for a court appearance.
