A 17-year-old from London is facing charges following an incident at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital involving security staff.
According to the St. Thomas Police Service, officers were called to STEGH after reports of an individual screaming inside the facility.
When police arrived, hospital security advised that the individual had already been discharged but was refusing to leave the property.
Security then escorted the person off-site, at which point an assault allegedly occurred.
Police say the youth was arrested, charged, and transported to police headquarters for processing. The accused was later released from custody with a future court date.
