St. Thomas Police are investigating an assault last Thursday afternoon in the area of Talbot and Moore streets.
A 16-year-old had been assaulted by two males who fled the scene in a vehicle.
The youth suffered serious head injuries and was hospitalized.
Police believe the assault stemmed from an earlier interaction involving the victim and a dog in the area of Princess Avenue.
Members of the Criminal Investigations Branch continue to review video surveillance, identify witnesses, and gather evidence.
Police are interested in speaking with anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has dash camera or security video from the area between 3 and 3:30 p.m.
