Two St. Thomas men have been fined a total of $5,000 for deer hunting violations.
Camil Borecki pleaded guilty to unlawfully hunting during a controlled deer hunt and was fined $1,500.
Tyson Burns pleaded guilty to unlawfully hunting deer without a licence and hunting with a firearm without completing the Canadian Firearms Safety Course. He was fined $3,500.
The infractions occurred November 22 of last year during a controlled deer hunt north of Port Stanley.
A conservation officer determined that Borecki was knowingly hunting in the wrong controlled deer hunt, and that Burns did not have a deer licence or controlled deer hunt validation.
In addition, Burns had not completed the Canadian Firearms Safety Course.
