A 37-year-old St. Thomas woman is facing charges after an incident at St. Thomas Police headquarters Thursday morning.
Police say the woman arrived at the station shortly after 10 a.m. carrying a bag containing several items.
CCTV footage allegedly showed her removing two hammers from the bag and throwing them over the fence, striking a parked police cruiser.
The woman then left the area on foot but was located nearby by responding officers.
Police allege she pushed an officer and grabbed the officer’s vest while being placed under arrest.
She has been charged with mischief under $5,000 and resisting a peace officer. The woman was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
Police estimate the damage to the cruiser at approximately $1,000.
