St. Thomas Police are investigating after a vehicle was stolen from an east-end retail complex.
Police were called around 5:30 p.m. after a store employee reported that their wallet and keys had been taken from a staff locker room while they were working.
Police say the keys were then used to steal the employee’s 2026 hybrid Toyota Corolla from the parking lot.
Investigators obtained video surveillance of the suspect, along with vehicle tracking information and records of banking transactions made using the employee’s debit card.
The vehicle was later located abandoned by Hamilton Police around 9 p.m. the same day.
The investigation remains ongoing.
