While you may not be a fan of a particular candidate running in the upcoming municipal vote, the St. Thomas Police Service is reminding residents that election signs cannot be removed, damaged, or relocated without authorization.
Police say election signs are considered the property of the candidate or campaign, and anyone who interferes with an election sign could face criminal charges.
Police are encouraging anyone who witnesses an election sign being stolen, damaged, or improperly removed to report the incident.
