Canada’s economy grew more than expected in the second quarter, with annualized GDP rising 3.3 per cent.
Statistics Canada says the economy expanded 0.8 per cent from the first quarter.
Officials also revised first-quarter growth from zero to 0.1 per cent, removing concerns Canada had entered a technical recession.
Economists say the figures offer some reason for optimism.
