The City of St. Thomas is making sure residents who still prefer to cast their ballot in person have some options during this fall’s municipal election.
While voting will primarily take place online or by telephone, eligible electors can visit one of the city’s Voter Assistance Centres for help casting their ballot.
City staff will be on hand to provide access to city devices, answer questions, and assist residents through the voting process. Staff can also help residents update their information or apply to be added to the voters’ list.
The voting period runs from October 13 at 10 a.m. until October 26 at 8 p.m.
Four in-person assistance opportunities are scheduled throughout the voting period, including locations at the Elgin Centre, St. Thomas Seniors’ Centre, and St. Thomas Public Library.
Dates and locations include:
• October 15 | 1–7 p.m. | Elgin Centre, 417 Wellington Street
• October 21 | 12–4 p.m. | St. Thomas Seniors’ Centre, 225 Chestnut Street
• October 24 | 10 a.m.–4 p.m. | Elgin Centre, 417 Wellington Street
• October 26 | 10 a.m.–8 p.m. | St. Thomas Public Library, 153 Curtis Street
