A 45-year-old St. Thomas man has been arrested in relation to a break, enter and theft last week at the RONA store on Edward Street.
An individual had broken into the store through a roof hatch and made their way to the office. They left the store with a safe.
The roof hatch remained open and the store incurred significant water damage due to the rain.
Police advise the man was located and arrested on reasonable grounds. During a search, cocaine was found in his possession.
A further search of his residence uncovered a large quantity of Oxycodone, 55.4 grams of cocaine, and 21.8 grams of fentanyl. Total value of the seized drugs is estimated at $5,690.
He has been charged with break and enter to commit indictable offence, wearing a disguise with intent, and mischief.
According to police, further charges are pending.
