St. Thomas residents will have an opportunity to meet the people hoping to lead the city and serve on council ahead of this fall’s municipal election.
The St. Thomas Kinsmen are teaming up with the Columbus Club to host an All Candidates Night on Wednesday, September 16th.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the event getting underway at 7 p.m.
Each of the three mayoral candidates will have five minutes to introduce themselves and share what they want voters to know. That will be followed by two-minute elevator pitches from at least 17 of the 19 confirmed council candidates.
The evening will then move into a meet-and-greet until 9 p.m., giving residents the chance to speak with candidates one-on-one and ask their own questions.
St. Thomas Kinsmen member and Kin Canada Governor of District 1, Matt Sharpe, will serve as MC.
Residents are encouraged to come out, learn more about the candidates, and take part in the conversation ahead of election day on October 26th.
