A St. Thomas man is facing arson and mischief charges after a fire was set behind a building on Talbot Street.
St. Thomas Police were called Thursday to the 400 block after a piece of cardboard was deliberately set on fire. The St. Thomas Fire Department attended and extinguished the fire, but not before damage was caused to the exterior of the building.
The 48-year-old St. Thomas resident was located at the scene and taken into custody.
He was later released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
